Ransomware attacks in the global education sector rose 69% in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, according to a new report. The ransoms averaged $608,000 among the confirmed attacks. A report in March found that 82% of K-12 schools in the U.S. experienced a cyber incident between July 2023 and December 2024, reinforcing the need to invest in cybersecurity measures to defend against these attacks
